  • April 19, 2016 – Start Smart Salary Negotiating Workshop, ISU Pond Student Union Building Clearwater Room, 2:30 – 5 p.m. This workshop is aimed at female graduating college seniors to help them prepare for initial job interviews and salary negotiations. Research shows that women’s starting salaries are often lower than men’s and as a result they remain behind throughout their careers.  The workshop is also open to male students and if space is available, to members of the community.
  • May 14, 2016 – General Business Meeting, noon to 2 p.m. no-host lunch at Café Tuscano, 2231 East Center St., Pocatello. RSVP to chair Linda (leeulind@isu.edu).  There will be reports on Start Smart and other business and the annual election of officers will be held.
  • August 12 – 14, 2016, AAUW State Convention in Coeur d’Alene. The AAUW visiting director will be Ellie Hill, who is also a Montana state representative. She will speak on AAUW priorities. In addition, a 90-minute workshop on Telling Your AAUW Story will be presented by Erica Stout from the national office. The Coeur d’Alene branch is planning fun activities in addition to the business sessions and workshops, so members are urged to save the dates and plan to attend the convention.
